Jobe Mortuary Transport, LLC was founded in 2023 to provide funeral homes, law enforcement, and medical facilities a neutral representative to conduct removal and transportation services.

Being a neutral third-party, we can provide our services to any licensed funeral establishment without the worry of solicitation, impropriety, or competition.

We operate only under the direction of a licensed funeral director, a licensed funeral establishment, or Justice of the Peace.

Jobe Mortuary Transport, LLC does not provide any funeral or funeral-type service.  This includes but is not limited to funeral planning, funeral pre-planning, burials, cremations, or embalming.  We do not work with or for the general public.

Derik Jobe was born and raised in Amarillo and graduated from Palo Duro High School in 2003.  He married and had 4 children while serving in the U.S. Navy until 2012 and deployed multiple times in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.  He is a service related disabled veteran.  In 2021 and 2023, his 2 oldest sons continued the legacy of service and are currently on active duty in the United States Marine Corps.

Derik married his wife, Kimberly in 2016 and returned to Amarillo following the death of his father, Larry Jobe in 2017. Derik and his family pursued several business endeavors, starting Steel Heart Tactical as a custom apparel company and later Retribution Arms, a licensed dealer of firearms and tactical training company.  A fire in September of 2020 destroyed the business and the company was forced to close.

Derik joined the funeral industry in early 2022 as a removal technician and licensed crematory operator at Shafer Mortuary.  In December 2022, he joined Lighthouse Funeral and Cremation Services as a removal technician, licensed crematory operator, and funeral service technician. 

Seeing an opportunity in November 2023, Derik founded Jobe Mortuary Transport, LLC to provide his services to all funeral homes in the Amarillo area.
